This softly pulsating bubble, gently folding into itself, becomes both an illuminating symbol and a quiet reminder to rediscover the magic within the folds of New York. It is the subtle pulse next to us, a companion that is soft yet alive.
As a designer, I am known for creating inhabitable, breathing bubble environments that form immersive spaces of softness, presence, and care. With this piece, I translate that language into a smaller, more intimate scale. The bubble becomes a domestic companion, bringing the experience of breathing space into everyday life.
The breathing rhythm slows time and creates a moment of pause within the city’s constant acceleration. The fold becomes more than form. It suggests a smile, a gesture, a point of connection. In this slowed condition, strangers become softer, distance dissolves, and presence emerges.
Optionally, the surface carries a print inspired by the iconic Thank You graphics of New York, reinterpreted as “Breathe With Me, Have a Nice Day.” This gentle message extends the intention of the object. It invites kindness, awareness, and simple human exchange.
The lamp becomes not only a source of light but a living presence, a small breathing architecture that invites care, connection, and a renewed sensitivity to the people around us.
I design for a world that has forgotten how to breathe.
A world where desire and perception are shaped by accelerated bubble algorithms, where we move faster than our bodies can feel, and lose touch with what is humanly real. Our breath. The light that exists between us.
My work takes form as soft, living bubbles that hold space for presence, slowness, and connection. In dense urban environments, we exist in compressed interiors, close yet distant. I make these invisible conditions tangible.
The Bubble Light is a domestic fragment of my inhabitable environments. It is not just an object, but a companion. It breathes with you. It softens the room.
In a culture of constant acceleration, I design for reduction, for stillness, for awareness.
This work is an invitation to return to the body, to shared presence, and to the quiet intelligence of being alive.
The Bubble Light translates my inhabitable breathing environments into a domestic object.
In a world where perception and desire are shaped by accelerated digital systems, we have lost connection to what is humanly real: our breath, our bodies, and the subtle presence between people. This object responds to that condition.
The lamp takes the form of a softly folded, breathing bubble. It emits a warm, diffused light and can optionally create a gentle pulsation, introducing a slow rhythm into the space.
The fold is both formal and symbolic. It suggests proximity, softness, and connection.
An optional surface print, inspired by New York’s iconic Thank You graphics and reinterpreted as “Breathe With Me, Have a Nice Day,” extends the object’s intention into a quiet social gesture.
The Bubble Light is designed as a companion that softens environments, slows perception, and invites presence.
