Developed by New York–based lighting design practice Onibi, Ramulus is a finely engineered instrument for illumination.
Tilting, rotating, and extending with meditative precision, Ramulus articulates through two tensioned spherical joints at either end of its central telescopic stem.
This network of moving components allows adjustments in height and direction, supporting both floor and work-surface placement, direct and indirect illumination.
Ramulus is equipped with a highly efficient full-spectrum LED module, delivering rich and accurate color rendition. Controlled via the illuminated center node. Tap to power on or off. Hold to adjust the brightness.
Drawing from diverse cultural and disciplinary references, Kebei’s practice engages materiality and manufacture, rituals of spectatorship, and unlikely technical propositions as generative conditions for form. His work is shaped by the tension between traditional sensibility and the shifting logics of industry and consumer culture.
Kebei Li holds an MFA in Design from Stanford University and a BFA in Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design.
